High Hand Art Fest

So look at me!  This is High Hand Artfest.  A participant on the first weekend in April, I had a wonderful time showing, demonstrating and selling a few pieces of art.

The vendors at this event were so talented, friendly, and just happy people.  High Hand Gallery chose a very diverse group of artists for this show.  There was silver and copper jewelry, watercolor art, pastel art, glass and metal wind chimes, hand made furniture, iron works, oil paintings, my acrylic paintings, even Chinese original origami work, etc etc.  It was faboooolassssss!

AND we were all demonstrating our skills.  As I was pasting my collage pieces onto paper, I could hear in the background Becky pounding her copper into bracelets and earrings, I could see Sally creating her wonderful silver earrings, and hear the chatter of artisans explaining their processes to the interested people wandering the aisles of the space.

Everyone was so friendly.  A bunch of my pals came to see what I was up to, and some special neighbors came by also.  Girlfriend Allie kept me company practically the whole two days, and she sold so much of my work.

I sold "Margot's Bouquet" which is a large mixed media.

My buddy and facial expert Deb bought it.  She loves it and had to have it...love that girl!

Here are a couple of the $20 small pieces on paper that went like hot cakes!  Well, maybe not hot...but semi-warm for sure.
